Franzen finishes in top 10 at First to Finish meet

Savanna Franzen ran eighth on Saturday (Sept. 10) in a field of 274 runners in the Class 3A division of the First to Finish girls’ cross-country meet at Detweiller Park, in Peoria.

Franzen’s 3-mile time was 18 minutes, 9.2 seconds.

SJ-O placed 24^th in the 32-school field with 682 points. Meet champion Naperville North was first with a tally of 63 points.

Other Spartan runners were Chloe Burkhalter (108^th in 20:12.8), Sophia Kasper (219^th in 23:09.8), Hannah Mock (232^nd in 23:36.9), Kaytlyn Baker (235^th in 23:44.3) and Sydney Steinbach (243^rd in 24:00.6).

SJ-O returns to action on Tuesday (Sept. 13) in a meet at Monticello.
