Spartan volleyball on seven-game win streak

St. Joseph-Ogden won its seventh straight match – all in two-set sweeps – on Tuesday (Oct. 17) when it defeated Paxton-Buckley-Loda 25-22, 25-11, in its regular-season home finale.

The Spartans were paced by Halle Brazelton with 15 assists and two digs. Addie Roesch collected eight kills, four digs and three service aces. Peyton Williams had four kills, four digs and one service ace.

SJ-O (28-4) returns to action on Thursday (Oct. 19) at Bloomington Central Catholic.

The Spartans could potentially have another home match in the postseason. If SJ-O wins a Class 2A regional title (at Watseka), the team would play on its own home court in the sectional.
