Maddie Wells finishes Pontiac Girls’ Wrestling Tournament with winning record

St. Joseph-Ogden’s Maddie Wells compiled a 3-1 tournament record on Friday (Dec. 8) and finished third in the 130-pound weight class of the Pontiac Girls’ Wrestling Tournament.

All of her wins were by pin, with the fastest in 1:42 in the third-place bout.

The Spartans ended 26^th in the 32-school event with 21 points. The meet champion was Edwardsville with 207 ½ points, followed by Batavia with 166 points.
