Aubri Elliott Achieves Personal Bests at Monticello Invitational, Oakwood Places in Two Sprints

Oakwood sprinter Aubri Elliott was a top-six placer in two individual events on Friday (April 26) at the 19-school Monticello girls’ track and field invitational.
Elliott ran a personal-best 13.34 seconds in the 100 meters and placed fifth. She was also sixth in the 200 meters (29.18).
Elliott was also a member of the 400-meter relay, which finished 11th in a season-best time of 56.76 seconds. She was joined by Taylor Smoot, Leanne Snow and Nikita Taylor.
Also registering a personal-best was shot putter Quinn Sperry (28 feet, 8 inches), who placed 10th.
Oakwood placed 18th with three points. Meet champion Normal University High had 102 points.
Oakwood will return to action on Thursday (May 2) in the Vermilion Valley Conference meet at Westville.
