Pruemer and York Combine for Two-Hit Shutout as St. Joseph-Ogden Dominates in Baseball Double Victory

Asher Pruemer and Dalton York teamed up on a two-hit shutout on Monday (March 25) as the St. Joseph-Ogden baseball team won at Salt Fork, 15-0, in four innings.

Pruemer walked one and fanned five in his three-inning stint. York worked the final inning and struck out two of the three batters he faced.

Nolan Earley was one of the Spartans’ offensive catalysts. He hammered two home runs and drove in four runs.

Luke Landrus ripped three hits – a single, a double and a home run – and drove in three runs. He also scored three times.

Teammates with two hits were Tanner Jacob, Kodey McKinney and Braxton Waller.

Bryson Houchens and Jacob both tallied two runs. McKinney delivered three RBI and Waller knocked in two runs. McKinney swiped two bases.

On Wednesday (March 27), Waller and McKinney each drove in four runs as the Spartans won at Centennial, 18-2.

Will Haley, Landrus and Logan Rosenthal all had two RBI.

Waller delivered three hits. Teammates with two hits were Jared Altenbaumer, Landrus, McKinney and Rosenthal.

Altenbaumer and Landrus tallied three runs.

Houchens (3-0) pitched two scoreless innings, permitting one hit, and earned the win. He struck out four and walked no one. Garrett Denhart threw the final inning.

SJ-O (9-1) returns to action on Thursday (March 28) at Mahomet-Seymour (4-1).
