Asher Pruemer pitched the first 3 1/3 innings and suffered the loss. He walked one batter and fanned two.

On Thursday (March 28), the Spartans rallied from a deficit with a three-run seventh inning to score a 3-1 victory at Mahomet-Seymour.

Earley, Houchens and Waller scored the late-game runs. Altenbaumer and McKinney drove in runs.

SJ-O was limited to four hits, a double by Jacob and singles by Altenbaumer, Earley and Houchens.

Earley pitched the first five innings, matching walks and strikeouts with three.

Reliever Trevor Ames registered his second win. He pitched a scoreless inning and yielded one hit. Altenbaumer picked up a save, finishing off the game with a scoreless bottom of the seventh.
