Villa Grove dealt Heritage a season-ending 13-3 loss on Monday (May 16) in a Class 1A regional tournament baseball game in Villa Grove.
The Hawks were held to four hits, singles by Sam Gilbert, Kamble Pearman, Robert Holloman and Jullyan Gray.
Holloman delivered two RBI. Gilbert, Pearman and Joey Markstahler scored the Heritage runs.
The Hawks end the season with a 1-14 record.
Heritage had three seniors: Gilbert, Kolton Junglas and Brodie Meneely.
Holloman was the team-leader in runs scored, hits, runs batted in and stolen bases.
Pitchers Gray and Meneely shared the team-lead in strikeouts.
